AFKLMP begins Amsterdam-Dubai freighter service

Cargolux Airplane in Flight

Air France KLM Martinair Cargo (AFKLMP) has begun a new weekly Boeing 747 freighter service operated by Martinair between Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS) and Dubai World Central Airport (DWC).

The service began on July 1 and operates from AMS to DWC with a stopover at Cairo International Airport (CAI) before returning directly to AMS from DWC.

The 747F is capable of carrying up to 110 tons of cargo per flight.

AFKLMP Cargo said that the new route offers onwards sea-air combinations at DWC, due to its close proximity to the Port of Jebel Ali, and same-day connections to the AFKLMP network.

The company added that the “service is tailored to enhance our customers cargo transport experience by offering even greater efficiency and connectivity”.

AFKLMP Cargo’s most recent network development was the signing of a new block space agreement with China Cargo Airlines to ramp up the existing partnership between the companies.

The agreement started on July 1 and enables China Cargo Airlines to utilise Air France belly capacity for flights from Paris CDG to São Paulo Guarulhos Airport (GRU).
